A studio photographer can work for a company or work on his or her own. A working knowledge of photography techniques, which can be gained through formal or informal education, as well as access to a working studio, are generally required. Although most studios will be large enough to accommodate various types of photo shoots, they can vary in functionality, size, and even color. The lights must then be turned on with the help of cables or wireless triggers.
The studio photographer must also be able to assist a model in assuming various poses in preparation for photos and make adjustments as needed during the shoot. This necessitates the photographer being approachable, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. He or she will be in charge of every aspect of the shoot, which means that the quality of the final images will be solely dependent on the photographer’s abilities, preparation, and skills. After the shots are taken, the photographer will most likely be in charge of either uploading digital images to a computer for processing or developing film for printing.
